It's Thursday again, and that means new releases! And this week, we have 3 fantastic new packs for you, a new tileset from Kokoro Reflections, a new character pack, and a brand new set of tracks!
Grab your tickets and glowsticks, it’s time to rock out with the KR - Concert Hall Tileset! Kokoro Reflections has created a set of modern tiles focusing on the rooms and equipment needed to build stages. Get ready to create maps where your heroes can dance the night away in neon clubs, lobbies with ticket windows where they can meet up for a first date, and even backstage rooms where your heroes can meet their heroes and see how they make that amazing music!
Concrete and metal grate floors make for easy cleanup after parties, and use neon light borders to help show paths when the room goes dark. Line the stage walls with speakers and large screens so the people in the back can enjoy the show too. Don’t forget the rows and rows of seating, and metal scaffolding that all the lights hang off of! Or skip the show entirely and have your game take place in the lobby and outside the building, where large signs tell people just what can be found inside. Add instruments like guitars, drums, and pianos to your backstage maps to show that those rooms are used for more than just naps, or set up an entire recording studio with sound dampening panels and microphones.
This pack also includes animated sprites for glass doors (tinted both blue or red to fit your building) to let your heroes into the building and all the backstage rooms, as well as glowing lights to light up the stage. Bright spotlights in red, green, blue, and pink could pulse in time with the band’s music, and sweep across the audience while they cheer. Smaller lights and sparkles can add some extra excitement to the maps (or help your heroes find their way when they need to sneak out mid-song). Give your heroes some exciting memories of rock concerts and raves with the KR - Concert Hall Tileset!
One of the cool things about an RPG is that you can often play and meet characters that are very different from what you know in real life. Here, demons, different kinds of elves and even demigods can be encountered and interacted with which opens up many interesting gameplay and narrative possibilities. Those and more new humanoid yet not fully human characters wait for you to tell their story in RPG Character Pack 7!
Meet the joyful Gorgon, who doesn’t need any heavy armor since the gaze from her petrifying purple eyes keeps any enemy at a distance… forever. Are the two dark and light elves each siblings, couples or maybe they are just enabling your player to pick whether they want to play a male or a female?
And talking about options, with the devil queen and a male devil alongside three different demons you can either fill up a town of demonkins or add a full group of matching antagonists to your game!
As always, the RPG Character Pack comes with large artworks, Charsets, SV Battlers, Battlers and Busts and Faces with emotions, so you can use the characters for any role in your story.
Is the cute blue-haired fairy an enemy or a friend? Will the Valkyrie be a helpful ally or is she up for something sinister that her smile would never lead you to think of?
Your game is the stage, and these amazing demihumans will play whatever part you assign them to!
No matter how good a game looks, the music plays a huge part in transporting the mood and the emotions to the players. And if you are making a light-hearted game, perhaps one in a modern setting, the Japanese School Girls - The Music of Their Stories pack is just what you need to communicate the right vibes!
The thirty brand new tracks cover basically any situation you might want to score with matching music. Fitting the theme of the pack, even the more somber tracks are not deeply depressing, but rather soft with slow piano tunes. But those are comparingly rare, as most of the content of this pack is joyful and uplifting! Some of them are geared towards different times of the day, others are written to compliment situations as the classroom tracks or the “comical” one, which on its own might have you write a matching scene just so you can use the fun track in your project!
From the “opening” to the “ending”, there is not much left to ask for, but the pack even tops that and compliments the background music with twenty short jingles that you can add to highlight certain run-ins, events or the start or certain episodes! Sleep for example could be the tune that plays when there is a transition between different days in your game, or the Episode Halloween could mark the start of a halloween themed level!
Listen in and be inspired by all the great content in this pack!
