Can we get Thursday officially changed to Releaseday? Doesn't it just roll of the tongue? Anyway this Thursday we have two new packs to enhance your JRPG Style Games! Battlebacks for your world maps, music for all situations, dive in below!
If you’re always on the hunt for more battleback options, never fear! OverWorld Battlebacks is a set of 16 3D-modeled backgrounds brought to us by Joel Steudler. Sized to fit both MV/MZ and Ace resolutions, these battlebacks cover a bunch of terrains so that no matter where the battles take place in your world you’ll be covered. Match the frigid temperatures of your world’s icy north with a battleback full of snow and frost-tipped pine trees or one where not even a single blade of grass can pierce the frozen glaciers.
For those of us who prefer to avoid the cold in our game worlds, this pack also brings us sunny beach fronts and a verdant jungle clearing. Don’t worry about your grasslands, forests, or mountain ranges either, since OverWorld Battlebacks brings us two variations for each. And if you prefer a bit more danger in your world, why not use the lakeside background with a volcano spewing smoke into the air or the dark and gloomy swamp? Deserts with windswept sandstone round out this pack, covering almost any spot in your game’s world a battle could break out!
And leave it to Joel Steudler to add in a bonus piece of music, a beautiful theme for your players to listen to as they travel to see more of your world!
Get your gear ready, we're going on a journey!
This pack brings you 20 brand new and atmospheric tracks to inspire and expand your games. From soft tracks to fast paced exciting pieces, there is a broad range for every story and environment need.
Have your heroes sail to an epic destination to the tunes of Conquerors of the Tide. Perhaps they arrive at a volcanic island and explore it to the tunes of Volcanic Pass while they are attacked by cursed fire creatures all the while avoiding the lava flows. Getting closer to the boss they want to face, A Battle Awaits sets your player into the right mood for a legendary fight.
Or maybe they travel a different path and end up in a deep and mysterious forest? Here, the calm and soothing tunes of Miquanae Forest capture the feeling perfectly.
And for when there is no choice but to fight, we've got a variety of great battle tracks as well, from slow but intense Kaiju War to the metal riffs of Come and Get Me.
This week our releases are perfect for supporting two of the iconic RPG Maker styles: Creepy Horror with evil silhoutte monsters from Tyler Warren, and Old School Classic with some retro tunes from Joel Steudler! Let's take a look.
