For everyone who loves adding more depth to your battles, this is the highlight for you. Fomar0153 has been making MZ plugins that give us all sorts of new battle options, from adding global battle events to giving party members new ways to learn skills to even throwing extra weapons at the enemy!
This week we’re taking a look at another prolific plugin maker, Casper Gaming! Casper Gaming’s MZ plugins cover a lot of different facets of development, from giving us a way to easily put our developer info onto the title screen with his CGMZ Game Info plugin to adding in brand new scenes like his CGMZ Encyclopedia and Bestiary! Casper Gaming has a bunch of plugins ready for us to use, so let’s take a closer look at some of them.
Now that RPG Maker MZ is out there, there are probably people out there that might have wished for a different style for the character sets. Don’t get me wrong, the chibis are cute and enable people to have a good workflow when creating them, but especially for games with more serious undertones, people could want something with different proportions. Today we have two artists to be featured and some additional honorable mentions!
In this week’s Resource Highlight, we’re jumping into the world of plugins! Sometimes you just want MZ to do something different than its default, and that’s where plugins come into play. From easily letting your players know what they found in a chest to creating battle action sequences that would put suplexing a train to shame, Visustella’s plugins give you a great place to start building the game of your dreams.
With the release of MZ we’ve seen a resurgence of plugin creators making codes to take our games to the next level, so today let’s take a closer look at one of them! Caethyril’s MZ Plugin thread contains a bunch of incredible plugins that bring all new effects to your development process, from making adding new battle encounter messages simple to building a whole clickable menu out of pictures and common events
For this week’s Resource Highlight, we’ll be looking at someone who’s done a little bit of everything. Materials by Haydeos! is a great thread to explore if you're looking for a little inspiration for battles and maps! If you own MV then you can use his great edits to take your game to the next level.
This week’s Resource Spotlight is looking at a team of plugin creators who decided to work together to share their work with the community. They’ve been making plugins for both MV and MZ for us to use to improve our games, from the addition of an ‘exit game’ option to a new scene for detailed case files.
